Hard drive XM replacement

Now I may be dreaming a little too big.

I have an '05 w/o navigation. I do not plan to use the XM in the car anytime soon. I also do not have an iPod, I have two Sansa mp3 players. I know the icebox can be used to replace XM with an ipod that can be controlled via the steering wheel controls. Does anyone know of anything out there that would enable me to hook a hard drive up to where the XM is and listen to music, maybe treat folders like channels.

I've had one in each car for over a year. They work really well, no issues, sound quality is excellent.
