Handsfree Link Distortion

Sometimes I get distortion on the HFL when someone talks very loudly. Anyone else? Solutions?

Is there a volume control for the OEM bluetooth kit?

Sometimes I get distortion on my aftermarket bluetooth kit. I just turn down the volume.

Thanks Captain Obvious

I should have been more clear though. I was asking about a seperate volume setting built into the bluetooth kit that will let you set the input level for the phone kit. Basically, a source level volume control.

There is no kit per se. It is fully integrated into the car. There is no "line level" input control, though I don't know if adjusting the volume on your (specific) phone will effect a change in the output.

And it's Captain Sir!

there may be some radio interference...my cell does that if I charge in the 'ash tray' 12V. I use the center console charger instead and the buzz/crackling cracking almost never happens.

Try turning the volume down on the phone itself. On my phone, anything louder than "medium" creates an annoying echo/feedback on both my Bluetooth headset as well as the HFL.

Thanks for the info

Do happen to know if there is a seperate line level volume control for the AUX input jack on the 06?

Nope, just a plug. Not to revisit the same punch line twice, but I usually use the volume for that.....

I have a Sony T616. Does anyone else have this ditortion issue. Turning down the volume only gives me a very soft distorted voice.

I get distortion with my LG PM325. It sounds like it's turned up too loud even if it's not. Other than that it works great! It always connects and hangs up perfectly.

Well, I just tried mine again and this time I turned the volume on the phone itself all the way down and it sounded great.

I have the same distortion issues with my LG PM325, but I have found turning the earpiece volume on my phone helps some. I wish Sprint had more phones available with bluetooth...

Thats exactly what my T616 sounds like sometimes. Like it's turned up too loud even when the volume is low.
