Hands Free Link?

I can't pair the phone cause apparently the car can't process my voice or something. When I say "Phone Setup" as the manual indicates, I've gotten "Find restaurant", "Temperature up", "System Setup" as responses from the computer. I'll give Hands Free Link a call to see if there is a way to bypass the voice input but this is not a good sign if voice input is going to be the main means by which I interact with navigation.

On the RL the HFL and Navi use different "talk" buttons to access the system. Is it different for the TSX? (sorry we don't sell Navi's here in Hawaii)

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. I thought it was the same button. I'll check.

I did contact Acura through their Hands Free Link website and am looking forward to their response.

The HFL uses different buttons than the rest of the voice control (I always thought it was kind of stupid). It's the big talk button in front, not the smaller one behind it.

EDIT: Just go to HandsFreeLink to see a picture of it. You want to use the top left button, with the picture of the phone.

the button on the FRONT is HFL. the button on the back is for voice commands. I did this multiple times and had the same problem you did. then i realized, i was pressing the wrong button!

Good timely tip.

My wife's phone was paired at the dealer when we picked up the car, so I knew it was possible to pair the phone through voice commands.

Today, I was trying to pair my friend's phone that I car pool with.
He was actually trying to google the pairing "how to" while we wer edriving home, but we reached the destination before we found the info on the mobile web.

It has been almost a month since I picked up the car, but I still have not read the manual yet. I did read the "quick start guide" though.
I just have been picking up tips from this forum
