guage illumination??

This may be an unusual question. Acura calls their guage lighting "Progressive Self-Illuminating Gauges” Is this the same thing as "Electro Luminescent" as with the Rx8 for example???

It also means that when you open the door the gauges illuminate to 10 percent brightness and when you start the car it goes to full illumination.

maybe its their choice of hues for blue and red... but i dont question its high readability, day or night... prolly better for me in the long run....
