Got my first ding....
After eight months of parking nowhere near anyone (BFE for those who remember that thread), my car was smacked in the rear quarter panel by a sky blue Chrysler New Yorker. It's not a huge dent, and the paint's not broken. But I am....

I just got my first one (actually two on the same day). One shouldn't be any problem to pop out and the paint isn't even scratched. The other is right on the crease by the drivers door handle and the paint has chipped off. :'(

I have one on the driver's door but up high on the black plastic beside the window closer to the rear door. Its pretty noticeable eventhough its not painted. Not sure how it happened?
Clutch, I'd also like to know if you confronted the person?

If I saw someone ding my car it would be everything I could do not to run out and brain them with a brick, seriously. I wished all sorts of bad things on whoever it is that was painting when I drove by. I'm glad I didn't see it when it happened or I would have been murderously mad.

I didn't see the person do it. I didn't confront them. All I know is: I parked next to no one and a curb. My car had no dings. When I came back, there's this car parked next to me. And I have a ding. It looked reasonable from height and longitudinal location that that person's rear door did it. At the time I really needed to go, so waiting around for the person wasn't an option.
I'm actually kinda glad that I didn't see it happen because I'm not sure how I would have reacted (seriously). I'd rather not go to jail right now.
Thanks for the tip, Tony. I'll try that.
