Looks like it has no intake on the throttle body and a filter for the gases that are supposed to be vented from the crankcase back to the intake. those filters are most common on FI systems, jtso will comment I'm sure

Huh, I was wondering what that little filter was... let's hope JTso says something cause I am really wondering what all this is for. I mean, a dealer is selling it so it has to be legit I guess

Yea, there isnt an intake on that thing. My guess is that it had an aftermarket and they removed it before they took the pic? As far as that filter goes, no clue...

Don't you know? That's the world's smallest "short ram intake" but it got connected to the wrong place.

Well, the intake system is obviously gone. The tube with the tiny filter is normally connected to the intake tube as part of the PCV emission system. That's where fresh air goes in to mix with the blowby gases in the crankcase. Then exits out via the PCV valve to the intake manifold.

People sometime install generic intake systems without provision to reconnect existing hoses. So they stick a filter on the end of the valve cover where the hose normally goes. In this case, on the end of the air tube. I'm surprised the car dealer actually selling the car without the intake system.

That filter is illegal in Canada. You get a major major fine for that because it's a huge emissions violation.

huh, ok that makes sense. I still don't understand the whole, complete lack of intake but whatever... I just hope the buyer notices that.
