Good Deal?

When I heard of other TSX drivers getting crazy deals on TL Type-S', I decided to do some shopping. I went to my local Acura Dealer here in NYC and I was quoted $33,980 for a Black/Black 6-Speed. Roughly $37k OTD.

Is that a good deal? Would you act on that deal even if you have a 2007 Black/Black TSX 5spd w/ NAVI and 4800 miles only?

I am so torque hungry!

I personally wouldn't. If you only have 4,800 miles on your car, I assume you got it recently. So trading it in so soon AND getting a brand new car = some crappy depreciation losses for you.

my dealer has TL-S tagged @ 33.5K...so with haggling you can take them down further. The one I saw on the lot was white AT ...there may be others but I din't care to check.

Also wanted to add that Acura is running a $2.5k incentive on the TL-S so with invoice @ roughly $36K.. the dealer is not lossing any money by putting them up for $33.5K . Infact they are still making $1K plus due to the holdback etc. If they are really desparate to move the vehicle they may cut back into it @ offer the TL-S for $32.5K - $33.0K without making any loss.

I agree. I've also invested a lot of time and money in this car and I would rather not feel cheated at the end of the day. I was also considering independently selling the TSX but that still leaves a margin of loss. I just want a car that can tug better b/c I have a heavy set family and I feel the lag when I have a full car. Only if my entire family could have of been with me buying the TSX.

I guess I would only agree at this point if they appraise my current TSX at 24K or above and give me the TL for 32.5k or less. I really like the car and this would of been a definite deal if the TL's were AWD. Maybe waiting for the 2009 TL's is a smarter option, cheaper 08's and a possibility of a 09 SH-AWD TL.

damn NY's vehicle sales tax is that high? If you want a TL-S I'd wait for the 4th gen to come out

And dang, if you're gonna be spending that, you might as well go with an Infiniti G
