Don't do that, thats a ripoff for 48 months. If it were 36, that would be different. TSX's hold their value very well too.

I saw a TSX lease being advertised for $2799 down + tax, title, license, and $52.57 doc fee. 10,000 miles, 36 mo. $259/mo for non-nav. Just for point of reference.

Sinking $2-3K in to a lease ... I just would NEVER do that. (note that I lease ... my problem is with putting huge amounts of cash down on a lease)

Jason,
In yesterday's (Sunday's) Tribune, I saw an ad very similar to this, but it was for 39 mos., 39000 miles (12k/yr). It looked a little too good to be true (the same ad had a base rsx lease for the same amount up front, same mileage, but for $249/mo. Who would get a base rsx for $10/mo. less???). I wonder if it's some kind of dirty trick they do where that's actaully for a demo model with like a couple thousand miles on it, and they don't tell you that until you get to the dealer or something, and then they try to get you in a new one for like $350/mo...wouldn't be the first time I've seen that.

Hey TAC...
I am a new owner as of yesterday...
NHB/6speed/non-navi

I decided to lease and I will tell you that I researched everywhere and went to 5 dealers before I decided to purchase. I ended up leasing mine for:

$375 down/$375 month taxes included for 48 months @15,000
I took a bit of haggling and a lot of research aswell as talking to dealers while I was at another dealership asking who could give me the best deal. I had my mind set on $350down/$350+taxes month so they managed to get $25 dollars more than I expected to pay.
I was quoted :
$1500 down/ $380 month +taxes at the first dealership and worked from that.

Yeah I purchased from Stevens Creek Acura, awesome experience awesome people, couldn't have asked for a better car buying experience. No hassle and quick. Talk to Dave or Eric (Internet Sales Team) good straight forward guys no b/s.

48 months with 12k miles/year.

$349.00 per month.

CG/Ebony 5spd, non-navi.

I got the car for $25290.00

If you drive the car off the lot, and directly into a Hummer H1, you will not get your $2700 down payment back.

Yes, putting that much money down will reduce the cap cost of your lease (thus lowering your monthly payment), but it's like paying rent in advance with no guarantee that you'll have a usable apartment.

When you total a leased car, all the insurance money goes to the lessor, not you. So, if you can stomach the higher payments, it's best to put 0 down. Of course, you still have to pay any taxes (Il,TX), acquisition fees, and security deposits that are required.
