It hauls nearly everything that I need to haul and is much more versatile than a pickup. By using plastic bins, trays, foam pads (kid's playroom type from Sam's), rolls of plastic, and a roll of anti-slip, I have been able to keep the interior looking new. I get 18 MPG in a small town and 25 MPG on the highway -- probably better than most pickup trucks.
Not to get off topic but I desperately need to know: will it fit a couple mountain bikes or would they be too long?

I've never but a bike in mine but I'm certain that with middle row removed they'd fit easily.

BTW - I agree 100% with Jim as far as the Ody being a covered pick-up.

If there's a way to get around driving the Ody everyday, the its certainly a great vehicle to have. If you're concerned about fuel mileage its not as if any other mini-van is head and shoulders above.

Awesome. I plan to use it as a covered pickup also. I have no kids yet but I have a lot of junk to move.

Test drive a Sienna. Just as much room and slightly better on fuel. Although apparently not nearly as good/fun to drive. I didn't even look at one since discounts on remaining 07 Ody's were impossible to ignore.

any rattles like the TSX? both the outlander and tsx are made in japan.
Just because they are both made in Japan doesn't mean they both are going to rattle. lol

Like all cars you'll eventually get some kind of rattle after a couple of years of use, not all cars are built like tanks.
I've had a Nissan, Toyotas, Mazdas, and Hondas all get rattles after several years of driving it.

My TSX doesn't rattle at all. What are you people doing to your TSXs?

75,000 miles on mine. Not a rattle or a squeak.

The 6 definitely looks better than the Camry or Accord (the 07 AND the 08). Now, if Mazda would just use their own engines instead of a damn Ford 3.5 V6, we'd be in business.

Oh, and did you notice it has proximity sensors (the ones that beep) on the front and the rear? Nice.
Mazda doesn't have there own V-6 besides the Duratec V-6 is the result of a joint developement between Mazda and Ford
