Going into 2nd Gear feels weird, like the gearbox is shifting on ridges.
Sometimes When i shift from 1st to 2nd, it does not feel as smooth as the other gears. it feels like its (i.e. the gearbox) shifting on ridges...its not one smooth, quick motion, but feels very "ridgity".
this also only happens when im in motion...when im at a stop and shift from 1st to 2nd, its smooth quick and concise....
sometimes when i stop and move from 2nd to 1st it does that too, but not as often.

Yes, that happens to mine too. Probably happens to most K series including RSX-S. At least ours is a weird ridgy feeling. The RSX-S has a worse notchy feeling.
To reduce it, shift 1-2 by pulling down. Don't pull down and to the left. Just pull down.

What mileage have you got on the car?
It may be worth considering getting the transmission flushed and oil replaced.
I know it's recommended at 75K miles (UK), but that doesn't mean you can't do it sooner if you want.
Shouldn't be that much to have done, if you don't want/can't do it yourself.

I also experienced this on a test drive with a car that had 3 miles on it. I figured it was just the newness of the linkage and will smooth out over time. But then again, I also experienced it on my son's RSX and it's 2 years old.

Have you spoken to the dealer?
Might be worth seeing if you can have a spin in one of their demonstrators and see if you notice the same thing.
If so, then it would possibly suggest it's your style/habit - if not, then maybe a change of fluid is called for.
That'd be my first step - seeing if you can replicate the issue in another car of the same type.

You should be experiencing more notchiness in cold conditions as well.
2nd gear is the biggest gear on both shafts. This explains why the other gear upshifts are smoother.
For now, I'd recommend not really beating on it (powershifting, high RPM downshifting, VSA off, etc) until the wear pattern forms between teeth.

Weird...for me it's 1st and 5th gears that are notchy. Buttery smooth shifts my butt...haha. And 5th gear is almost guaranteed to be notchy in cold winter for me. 6500k so far and I have to get my second oil change already. I never beat on the car...no powershifting, high RPM downshifting, etc....but mostly crappy Chicago downtown stop and go driving.
