Getting bids for a TSX

We are in the market for a 3rd family car. We are putting way too many miles on our 03 Suburban. So looking for a car that can be Taxi for the kids and take some strain off the Suburban.

At first my wife and I looked at the convertible beetle turbo. We had serious second thoughts about putting our 2 and 4 1/2 y/o in the back seat of a convertible. So we ruled out the VW.

My wife and I have always like the look of Saab's but the cost and reliability have pretty well ruled out a 9-3 and esp a 9-5.

So, I am now looking to score a new TSX for my daily commute and let my wife have my 04 TL. The value that the 05 provides is pretty incredible. I am going to forgo navigation as I have that in the TL and probably going to get a 6MT just for something different. My commute is usually off peak hours and 90% highway.

Now to see if the 2 local dealers in KC will deal on price.

Will let you guys know how things go. And as a current TL owner, I have never had anything but love for the TSX.

I would sell the Burban, but talk about upside down on a vehicle! We take frequent trips to Colorado to visit family, so that is where most of the miles come from.

Did the deal!

Pulled the trigger today! Gray 05 6MT non-navi. Ended up with only $1300 off MSRP. There are (were) only 3 cars in the Kansas City area that met the criteria. I looked from NE to IA to CO for cars and there is just not the inventory of 05's with MT. The price is in line with Carsdirect price for COLO, but carsdirect does not sell cars in Kansas.

So THEN I went home and told the wife!!! She is more than happy to get my 04 TL as her daily driver.

I was actually quite impressed with the 6MT and kept the revs under 4,000 on the test drive.

There was a huge amount of showroom traffic on the showroom today. They could have easily used 2-3 more sales people.
