Getting another TSX, opinion.

So after trading my great 08 TSX for a banged up 07 TLS, I regretted it BIG time, since then I traded that TLS for an 07 IS250, not a bad car at all but I miss my TSX so much!

been looking around and have come across various ranging from 04’s to 06s to 07’s, I’d prefer 07/08 because the AUX port was great haha but what are the main differences? Would I be losing much on an 04 compared to the 08 I had?

Also want to mention my 250 is a manual, first ever and its ok, from what I hear the manual on it isnt the best and Honda’s are better, I dont mind auto at all but how is the manual on TSX? Is there such a thing as “better” or just preference?

Just wondering but if you loved your original TSX so much, why did you trade it for a banged up car that is OLDER?

Because at some point I was obsessed with the TLS, I figured it was a TSX but bigger, better and more powerful, which in many ways it is.....but I ignored the cosmetics and only thought about the size, 286hp, cool looks, etc etc. Also it was a year older but had less miles so year was irrelevant to me.

I had been looking for a TLS for so long that I convinced myself to ignore the flaws it had, I had finally found one and I wanted it so bad!

all in all it was a dumb trade, both great cars and I’d take clean versions of either, both have advantages over each other.

live and learn.

Yikes. Well, so long as you know what you did that got you to regret your change...While I can understand how cars are often an expression and feeling, you still have to keep your wits about you. Anyways, good luck!

As you're aware, there were/are 2 "generations" of the 1st generation TSX. 04/05 and 06/07/08. There were a few differences between the 04 and 05, as the 04 is not equipped with the satellite radio, power passenger seat, and a couple of other things. The newer cars (06-08) had a number of minor upgrades/changes such as a little more power (+5 hp), memory seats, slightly different front and rear bumpers and wheels, a few more interior tech items, and starting in 07 (federal law), the TPMS. For some other things, just google the differences if you want more info on it. I've had both (an 05 and an 07)(still have the 07 as my winter beater), and at the same time, so was in good position to compare. The extra 5 hp in the newer cars will be all in your mind; I never noticed the difference. The rest? Well, that would be up to you I guess. You're starting from the newer car, so would be getting a car with less, and you're not used to, in an 04 or 05. My advice is the only car I'd avoid is an 04. They had a host of "first year, new car" problems, though by now, any that are still on the road must be sorted out by now. That said, also, the lack of Sirius/XM in the 04's would be a deal breaker for me.
