Gas Nozzle Flap Missing ???

This might be a stupid question but I went to get gas today and when I took off the gas cap I felt like something was missing. I thought my car used to have a flap to protect things from getting into the tank when the cap was off. Like a metal flap that was maybe spring loaded so the gas nozzle would make it fold up. Right now it’s wide open and there is no more flap. I used to have this flap on my previous vehicles and my roommate does have it on his new 3 series BMW. Do you have a flap on your TSX or am I going crazy? Thanks for your help.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about so a pic would probably help.

Those were phased out years ago. No TSX has ever had a flapper in the fuel fill tube. You must be thinking of a previous car you've owned.

If it's any consolation, my shitty ass VW had one and it didn't help one bit.

There is no 2-way valve as part of the new stricter emissions standards Honda has started to follow.
