gas cap holder?

i'm just curious if this is just a tsx thing, or just my car, but does anyone else have a gas cap holder thing for when you're filling up gas? i just thought it's strange that an acura car won't have a gas car holder.

It's one of the best gas cap holder designs I've ever seen!

A better use for the cap is to jam it in the handle of the gas nozzle to keep it open. For some reason all the little handle locktabs were removed from our gas pumps here a few years ago. D@mn safety-nazis no doubt.

I once got lectured by a station attendant for leaving the nozzle filling the tank while I went to check the oil. She turned off the pump and announced on the PA speaker "DO NOT LEAVE THE PUMP WHILE FILLING UP!!" Yeah, sure sweetie whatever you say. And the world will be a much safer place for it.

In my area there is only ONE gas station I know of that has the locking nozzles, and it's not even old pumps or anything. It's great in the winter if you don't want to freeze your ass off while filling up.

Regarding pumps not having "autopump" any more : just bring a tape measure in your glovebox (it comes in handy too sometimes) and stick it in the gas nozzle.

Yes, it ALWAYS shuts off because spilled gas is actually a hazard.

It's always shut off for me but this one time I was filling the CL up and this lady in her oldsmobile is in the next row of pumps... well the pump didn't stop for her and I hear a splashing sound... the old lady is of course oblivious to the fact that there is a highly flamable fluid being splashed all around her car and her person.
So I yell at her to stop the fucking pump and run towards the station's attendant who was busy cashing out people's candy and shit. The dude went berzerk... I've never seen a guy move so fast with a look of sheer fear. Within like 10 seconds there were a few guys dumping sand on the mess and the old lady looked like she was going to cry.

But yeah, 99% of the time the autostop thing works. And we still have the hands-free pumping here in VA

Water is not really the best thing, since gas is not water soluble (it's oil).
You should have used soap!
