fog lights

Do any of you leave your fog lights on all the time? i.e. always on with your headlights?

I do, mostly because it's common for them to get cracked from rocks, so I figured I'd try and get as much use out of it.

Mine are on 24/7 which explains why I burnt my rockblockers to hell, but the rockblocker tint is off my fogs so they're still on 24/7 anyway.

Mine are always on as well... considering changing the bulbs because the OEM fog lights look so yellow next to the HID lamps...

I thought about that, but I think I'd rather have some hyper yellow bulbs instead. I'd still leave it on all the time.

I only turn on my headlights when it starts to get dark. I don't turn them on during the day (that's what DRL are for, which I don't like anyway). I don't want my bulbs to burn out sooner anyway.

I always have my headlights on
not really for the looks of HID, but really for the safety reason.
in rain, snow, bad weather of course i have them on

ninjamyst, if you want a fog lights to better match the HIDS, try Nokya 55W (bluish white) fogs , or Hoen Xenonmatch 55W fogs (many a-zine members have them).

i also had Hoen Xenonmatch 55W fogs, and recently changed to a bit more brighter 80W Heliolite (Bluish White) fogs, and i'm very satisfied with the product.

it still has difference in light color when i see it right in front of my car, but looks bluish white when i see it from far away.

try searching for the fogs, there are maybe 40million threads about them.

I swapped mine out for Hyper Yellows 4 months back, still running them because I love the look at night.

I also swapped out a friend's bulbs with Hoens Xenonmatch, so it would match the HID's better.

My Nokya Hyper Yellow H11 Bulbs. Look much better at night.

Friend's Hoen bulbs.

It's your choice.

Cheers,
Chris

I'm wondering if they'd be suitable as DRLs? Right now, I'm afraid to use mine much, as I haven't taken the time to re-aim them.

Can any of you post some pictures of your Fog light beam? I installed accord/tsx fog light on my TL and the beam goes everywhere and way up. Thanks in advance. Pictures:

Wow! Nice and bright!

My fogs are always on when my headlights are on... Mostly for the look, as the fogs tend to illuminate 10-15 feet in front of the car. then again, they also illuminate the side of the road.

I'm thinking of changing my OEM lights. I just bought PIAA Xtreme White H1s for the high beams, and I'm looking to buy for my fogs (H11s). I really like the Xenonmatch in the pictures above. The price of the bullbs is OK at $34 CDN, but they want $27 for shipping... sounds ludicrous. I'm in MD in 3 weeks, and I was hoping to save by having them ship there, but they still want 18.99 for shipping, on 29.99 bulbs...

Does anyone know where I can get those in Canada (I'm in Montreal) so I don't get nailed with the shipping?

You know you can try to adjust your setting on your fog lights. I love fog lights but thats little too much and too many. You mentioned accord/tsx...are you talking about one of those ebay knock off one or jdm one?

Honestly if I had fog lights I would always use them. I dont see why people have foglights and dont use them its just well then whats the point? I can understand if one is burnt out or something like that. Also those kind without the on and off switch that you have to indivdually turn on each time you put your headlights on then I could understand not using them either. However if you have an on off switch I think its just easy to live it in ON and they will come on with your headlights.

Do you even know the real purpose of fog lights? You make sound like its hard to turn on the foglights or something. Its just a little knob that you have turn..

No im just saying liek my moms car has automatic lights and if you turn on the fog lgiths the next time you get in the car you have to turn them on again and again and again. There is no way to program is so they will automatically come on with headlights. Now with a setup liek that its going to be easy to forget.

I only use fog lights if it's foggy, rainy, or snowy outside. I find the warm color of the Halogen bulbs and their low position on the car really helps visibility in those conditions.

I only use them when it's raining hard or foggy. Otherwise, I don't use them because I dislike their color compared to the HID headlights. When my PIAA Tera H11 LEDs arrive, I will have the fogs on all the time.

Let us know how they look, maybe with some pics, when you install them!

This looks very good!
But it won't work for me, or anyone in Canada, or with an '07. DRL's would be on if the HIDs aren't!

Looks great though!

Hey DWest...Just wondering if you'd be willing to share how you managed to get your foglights to run with your parking lights, instead of just working when the headlights are on? I have a 06 as well.

Thanks in advance!

Did the rockblocker film burn while running OEM bulbs or did this happen after the installation of aftermarket bulbs?

Also if you did use the yellow film with the OEM bulbs, did the fogs look yellow at night or do you have to get yellow bulbs as well to achieve that look?
