another reason never to have ur car valeted...i used to be a valet in college and some of the things we use to do to those cars makes me cringe

Useless fact: Classic BMW symbol is from the image of a spinning propeller as BMW used to make aircraft before producing motorcycles and cars

That's a market that BMW had abandoned in 1945.

Perfect observation. If the picture had to have a caption I would choose domn's statement.

Sure seems to me that if that was trully 50/50 weight balance it would have fallen out already - something must be holding down he front of that car.

I know.... it must be X AWD model... yeah that's it.

What's holding the BMW

Come on guys, read the story, it's not that long.

The SUV and the front end of the BMW were intertwined in the collision.

The front bumper of the BMW is under the rear bumper of the SUV, so it can't flip out the window. Move the SUV, and you'll have a nice fireworks show on the sidewalk.

Can I get the photo? I know of ways to post it anonymously.

Ok thanks. Still trying find a willing server to host it.

Right now, I just have the news story (& photo) in the BMW forum.

You could probably just create an account with an email address you don't care about and host it...

Tried Tripod, but their logo shows up instead.
Tried Yahoo, but the address doesn't end in jpg for the uploaded pic, and the BMW forum web site won't accept it...

Decided to post the following:

http://tinyurl.com/3dkfq

It's a link on the post, so not as good; but works for the intended purpose: make fun of RWD "econoboxes".

Thats not a very active bimmer site.

http://www.roadfly.org/bmw/forums/ is probably the biggest.

I guess that would go on the E39 forum. I'd venture to guess they've seen the picture but not with that title under it. LOL

Roadfly is a generally sane adult site, particularly the non-3er sections. If you want to troll try E46fanatics.com much younger crowd and you are more likely to get a bite.

In general BMW forums aren't likely to be pimped much by that since in the end FWD would not make a difference and they are trolled on a fairly regular basis with more inflammatory posts with significantly more teeth. ie 911/Z06/S4/CLK/ vs M3 etc

Again if you want to see some flames Fanatics is probably your best bet, you might wanna add _____ rulez adding your choice of FWN platform.
