Finally installing my iPod setup, got a question..

I have the Blitzsafe setup for ipod and charging. i know i have to use it through my xm which is fine since i have a sirius radio. I wanted to install the blitz setup and was hoping someone could tell me how to splice in a female 3.5mm jack to plug my sirius in directly. the blitz does nto have a/v connections. i want to be able to turn off the ipod and switch to sirius without switching a bunch of stuff. I also refuse to hack into factory wiring.

Use the Aux jack in your center console.

Edit:

You have an 05 and they don't have the Aux jack, eh?

Well, you could purchase one that does have the Aux input or just get an adapter for the CD changer controls, I guess.

I have an '05, and got the USA Spec PA11H2Y from Crutchfield. Has both the ipod interface, and an Aux input.

You don't need to do any splicing. Just get the right wires at radio shack. You probably just need one that goes from 3.5 mm headphone plug to red/white RCA connectors. That's pretty standard, just hit radio shack or maybe even a Lowe's/Home depot.

Or if you need 3.5 mm plugs on both ends you can easily find a cable like that at radio shack.

I would need really just a set of a/v cables and splice into the Blitzsafe. I just dont know what wires to splice into on the blitzsafe.

unfortunately this Blitzsafe is not Charging my ipod!!

I mistunderstood on the previous post. I didn't realize that the blitz didn't have an aux input. I would just get the adapter mentioned above. Or check out this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ux3#post573822
