Feels Good...

My fiancée and I swapped vehicles today because I need to pick up some stuff for a project this weekend (she has an '09 Escape).

We're IMing back and forth and she says:

"Hey, my co-worker just asked who's nice Acura was parked outside! Just thought you'd be happy to hear that. "

My thought process immediately went to...what?! The TSX with 136k miles on it that hasn't been washed in a month and has a nice array of chips in the paint ?? (120 mile daily commute takes its toll )

It's nice to know that the car still catches the eye every now and then.

Oh, I'm washing it this weekend. It's just so discouraging when it gets dirty so fast.

Anywho, that is all.

It does feel good. People think my car is only a couple years old and comment on how nice and new it still looks. It's 6 years old with 67k miles. I just washed it yesterday after it sat at the airport parking lot for a week. I don't care how old it gets, I can't deal with a dirty car and I still want it to look nice.

The last few months, my coworker had been looking for a car for her daughter. She wanted to buy mine and kept asking if I was getting something new soon (I had been pondering it). In the end, I'm just not quite ready yet.

Agreed, my '04 also now has 136k - still looks good, and drives exceptionally well.. i'm just not ready to give her up yet.. not for a while actually.

Yeah...I think the 1G TSX is aging very nicely. It's yet to look "old", at least IMHO. As long as it's only requiring reasonable maintenance and repairs, I'll be driving it for a while.

Four years in my 06 and I still love it like the day I got it. There's nothing out there I'd rather have actually. Every now and again I get the urge to upgrade, but to what? There isn't an 10 out there I'd rather have (in my price range, that is... )

Ditto.

I don't want to drive anything else.

When it is clean, it still looks beautiful.

I get the comment all the time, asking what V6 is under the hood because it is so smooth.

This is one of the smoothest feeling/sounding 4-cylinders I've driven.

Still not washed yet.

Gotta love a supporting gf!

I gets compliments on how nice my tsx looks, especially since it has over 100K miles and has manual transmission. I still have the leather smell since no smoking is allowed.
