Faster after break in?

Hmm maybe it's me, but lately my TSX feels like it accelerates a whole lot faster. I have 6000+k on it now and I feel like the engine or something is making it pull stronger. This is my first manual car so maybe I'm drving stick better now. Does anyone else's car feel faster with age?

Absolutely. As the car breaks in and the engine "loosens up" you will have slightly better power. Depending on where you live, the cooler winter temperatures will also have alot to do with the TSX feeling faster right now.

Cars delivered with relatively "tight" motors should get faster as they're broken in.

Back around 1987 Road & Track tested a Porsche 944 and then got the samer car back later for a comparison test. It was significantly faster both on a dragstrip and on a road course once it had accumulated a few thousand miles.

I thought it also had something to do with the ECU?

Back when I had an Integra and participated in the Integra boards, it was mentioned that the ECU somewhat adapts to adjust the air/fuel ratio among other things. I could be wrong though. Just what I heard.
