You need to enter your security code if you disconnect the battery.

It means that you disconnected the battery like you were supposed to and now the stereo is asking for the code to re-initialize itself.

It's to prevent anyone from stealing your stereo.

To fix it you should have been provided with a stereo code with your owner's manual. When the "code" appears just punch in the code on your card and it should be good to go.

If you can't find the card, I believe the dealership you have your service done will be able to get it for you.

Your code is also in your trunk if you don't feel like calling your dealer

Your code is not in the trunk........it's located of the left side (outside) your glove box. Open the box and look for a little sticker on the left side, but outside the box.............

Ok I have my code, but the problem is....where do I enter it? I haven't seen an option to enter a code. Is it on the touchscreen? Where? Is it suppose to pop up when I tun on the stereo, because it doesn't.

I didn't unplug the battery. I unplugged the stereo completely and removed it for a day.

Use the knobs, either the volume or tuning knob

well I'm assuming to remove the stereo you had to remove its power source which is pretty much the same as detaching the neg battery cable

Thanks CJams, I knew I had read this problem somewhere recently. (See it pays to read the threads daily). I had Injen testing a new prototype CAI for our TSX's this week and they disconnected the battery and of course the card with the info was at home so a very quiet drive home to find that I got the Navi back but still no tones.

You guys and AZ soooo rock!!!!

I'll post more info on the the CAI once it's finalized and installed, but they did manage to squeeze and extra 3-5hp compared to the currently available CAI for the TSX.

Thanks again CJams for having the same problem, and to everyone here for coming thru with the solution.
