I've had my bad experiences in rain. I will never travel that fast in any car. Don't care if it has AWD or great tires.

Fear of driving in the rain sucks.

I think he reached 160km/hr at one point. That's pretty fast considering the narrow road, wet conditions, other cars, and night time.

But why the cluster only up to 180km/hr? Our Canadian cluster is up to 240km/hr, so we end up has something better than jdm! yah!

Is it just me, or does it sound like there is a voice that is maybe advising a shift when getting ready to redline? Sounds like it could be a PITA if you spend a lot of time reving the engine.

^^ yes a lot of jdm car has a beep when you rev over the redline but it is funny that euroR has a girl voice instead of a beep.

Pretty sure japense law requires all locally manufactured cars to be speed limited to 180km/hr.

Some japenese models in Australia are still fitted with the 180km/hr speed limiter and others are not. Luckily as the Euro isnt but I am not admitting to having tested this on a public road....

I thought it was pretty impressive driving like that in the rain and narrow road. He wasn't so bad...give him so credit on his skill but not a his stupidity.

Pretty dangerous...at least he saw the pedestrian jogging (around 6 min 28 sec).

I think around 2 min 30 sec, it looks like he pushed his revs off the scale.

The car sounds and performs well...

...the driver is so-so

(his first movie sucked though...all you get to watch is his dashboard

Yup JDMs have their speed limited to 180kmh - can be overriden with devices like Apexi RSM and HKS Speed Defencer.

Yup - he's definitely a bit nuts to go that fast on a slick and wet two lane road .

Without being able to see the road, can't say if he's shifting correctly - but he's trying his darnest to stay in the VTEC powerband (above 6k rpm).

Stock Euro Rs don't a rev warning beeper - the rev limiter will just kick in.

The female voice - probably from some rpm sensing gadget - seems to be saying "iVTEC" so i'm guessing it's triggered whenever he shifts within VTEC powerband or drops in or out of VTEC??

On the race track, having skills is not the only requirement. You also need a bit of common sense, or you'll get yourself killed before a race ends. It is also applicable on the highway. Besides, the guy was average at best. He had what seemed to be pretty random trajectories.

I have driven some jdm cars in hk(car import directly from japan not through dealer with everything in japanese and no warranty...aka. water goods) such as Altezza RS200, Skyline GTT, ITR. They all beep when you rev over the redline maybe it is really a "JDM" thing like the 180km limiter that will remove or not implement for export model. Also dun you found that beep when you watch initial D too?

Pretty good driver... keeps the revs pretty high.
In fact, one time he downshifted and he was past redline, lol.

My comment on the beeper thing ain't based on watching some fictional anime

Never notice a beeper at rev limit on my CL7 - but that could be because I'm not in the habit bouncing off it - usually shift just past 8k - installed a shift lamp and buzzer controlled by Apexi RSM that goes at 8200.

Close.
It sounds like "curve" pronounced "karb".
I am guessing this is a warning for an intersection ahead, must be an option on the navigation system.
