Engine won't start / idle too rough
Hi.
My 2004 tsx w/ 90k miles won't start. It surges between 800 and 1k and stalls within a few seconds. If I fully depress the gas, the engine will start and then run no faster than 3k with shaking. All of the cylinders are reporting misfires (P0300,301,302,303,304) plus a camshaft sensor (P0341) error. The engine stalls as soon as I let go of gas pedal.
Troubleshooting the first day I added two gallons of premium shell gas, a can of seafoam, and replaced the air filter. the second day I pulled the fuel injectors and sprayed them with carb cleaner. The third day I replaced the spark plugs.
recent history: the other day as I was pulling into the driveway I felt a few engine hesitations (misfires?) as I was applying the brake. The next morning it wouldn't start and I notice the low fuel light was on. I don't think it was actually our of gas but I poured a gallon of normal octane gas from the can reserved for my lawn mower. the fuel was several months old.
long history: I've had a check engine light for a few months. It started with an intermittent VSA warning light. Once every month or so I'd also get a split-second loss of power. I never pulled codes.
WHAT TO DO? is it bad fuel (low octane possible with water) or did my timing chain slip? I've read that tsx have a habit of chains slacking but I've also read that 341 can also be set by extended cranking periods. It's dead in the driveway; can I at least get it working enough to take it to a shop?
