Question Engine Flush while changing oil

I use to use a engine flush in my old vehicle whenever I changed the oil. To help get out all the old oil, deposits, etc. I'm getting ready to change my oil in the TSX and I was wondering if this was a good idea?? I've heard pros and cons on this subject. Does anyone else in here flush the engine while doing their oil change?? Also, if you do the flush, what product do you use?

You shouldn't need to flush the engine if you change your oil at a reasonable interval, and use quality oil.

I agree. I also think a "reasonable interval" in going by what your owners manual says (which is NON-severe driving conditions for me) especially if you're using synthetic or synthetic blend oil. I know a lot of people are still stuck in the old-school 3,000 mile interval thinking.

I've read that engine flushes don't help the engine, and may not be worth the money. I've also read they may do more harm than good.

I've read on some websites that some people do two oil changes, but I don't know if that helps any, either.

Yes, I've heard the same about possible harm because it washes all the protective oil off the engine parts. Anyway, just finished my oil change WITHOUT flushing. Thanks again.
