Hi there, can anyone show me where I can find the Engine/Chassis code in the engine bay ? You know, the small silver plate most Japanese cars would have in the engine bay that tells you where they made from and engine code bra bra bra... Thanks in advance.

 

It's part of the VIN and it's not on a silver plate. The VIN sticker is everywhere. You will see it on the dash corner, firewall, doors, hood, trunk, and bumpers. The actual engine code is stamped right on the engine block.

 

So I won't find anything that like "CL9" or K24A2" or "Made in Japan" ?

 

Yes, you will find CL9 and K24A2. It's part of the VIN and on the engine block mentioned earlier. Did you look?

 

I can only see K24A2 on the engine block, but not CL9.
