Question Eibach Pro Kit vs Neuspeed Sport Spring

Hey, I plan to purchase on Eibach Pro Kit or Neuspeed Sport Spring in next month for TSX. I am not sure which one I want to get it. Eibach is costing $ 10 dollar than Neuspeed, both springs are good quality. I have 1994 honda accord with Neuspeed Sport spring for almost 5 years and it is still good quality. I need your feedback, thanks.

I guess it depends on what combo of wheels/tires/offset you will be using which affects how low you can go. Eibach pro lowers 1.6F and 1.4R. Neuspeed sport lowers 1.5F and 1.0R.

I have always had Eibach on my cars (Except my Current CL S) it has Comptech Springs and Sways.

My friend with a GOLF GTI swears buy Neuspeed Products...I would say either one would be a good choice.

I plan to get 18 or 19 inch wheels, but I am kind of interesting into 19 inch wheels. When I get my TSX then dropped by Eibach or Neuspeed spring then figure it out on 18 and 19 inch wheels and see which one looks great. Thanks, bro.

Eibachs tend to offer a smoother ride.
Nuespeeds are not progressively sprung, as such they offer a much stiffer feel. Nuespeed MUST be installed with better then OE shocks. Eibach Prokits will work fine on OE shocks as they are intended to work with them just fine. The Nuespeeds are good springs just much harsher in everyday use.

You may want to look at H&R spings too, they tend to fit right between Eibachs and Nuespeeds in the stiff factor and work fine on OE shocks as well.

MrChad,

I looked at H and R springs website and they have 1.3 F and 1.2 R on TSX. I think I will go with Eibach Pro Kit and thought about trying that lowering springs on TSX because I have 1994 Honda Accord with Neuspeed Sport spring for almost 5 years, they are still good quality and a little stiff. Thanks, I will look forward to it soon.

I have used Eibach, Neuspeed and H&R on my Civic. Both Eibach and Neuspeed's lowering height maintained at the advertised spec. H&R on the other hand is known to sag.

GSGOMEZ, what wheel width are you planning to use the with the18" or 19" wheels? The width and the offset can affect how much the tires stick outside the fender. I'm currently using 17x8 with 45mm offset. The rear tires are almost flush with the fender lip and the front ones are sticking out 5mm (measuring from the sidewall). The problem is the rear fender also has a 20mm lip that will most definitely rub the tires if the car is lowered too much...

I good friend of mine from Honda-Acura.net has been running H&R lowering springs on his 98 Accord LX for nearly as long as I've had Eibach's. He doesn't seem to have any issues. I can't recall seeing too many first hand accounts of sagging , unless stereo equipment is envolved. I don't think I worry too much about H&R springs. Now I have seen bad shocks give the appearance of a sag.

Neuspeed springs appear to be Progressive

Eibach springs are aswell
But I have heard Issues with Eibach springs and "dead coils" making Clanking sounds

H&R springs are Identical to Neuspeed

Aren't Neuspeed springs made by Eibach?

H&R are 1.3/1.2, Neuspeed sports are 1.5/1.0, not the same

I've had Eibach's on my car for nearly 4 years now, years one and 2 had the stock shocks, I've had the Koni's since then.

My Eibach's were professionally installed (at a local tire shop in town) by a good friend of my Grandfather's back in the day when the Accord was new ('00). This guy did springs for years.

I don't have a dead coil or clanking, the installer needs to know how to adjust the rubber sleeves on the springs. 2nd, they need to take their time with the bump stop trim and they need to have good alignment equipment for after the the install is finished.

I'm not saying it takes a LeMans mechanic but a highly qualified mechanic should be used.

2nd, if it weren't an H&R or Eibach I wouldn't install the springs. These two mfg. specialize in nothing but suspensions. And since nearly every single WRC car runs E's or H&R why wouldn't you concider these companies? If it wasn't a Honda spring it would have to be one of these.

My Eibach's have felt better then my OE's in every way, they even took bumps with a better almost pleasent feel. And they hold great in the turns too.

we all know that advertised drops are just THAT.....I have spoken to Greg Woo....H&R was making Neuspeed suspension for a while, till they(neuspeed) found a better alternative for themselves

What I meant to say was............Neuspeed and H&R are both Progressive springs, not linear

I always thought the Pro Kit lowered about an inch?

That was the "old" prokit Eibach used to sell. I had a set for my Civic. It was very minimal drop about .75" to 1.0".
