ecu tuning

my cousin insists that it is possible to tune any automobile. he insists that if i take my tsx to any repair shop or acura i can get my ecu "tuned" meaning making it able to accept a turbo and tune it to my bolt on upgrades ie: catback, intake

i say that a stock ecu can only be reset, not "tuned" to account for a catback, intake, turbo etc...

please help me solve this arrgument

thanks, TJ

You need a programable ECU to do that. The Hondata K-Pro is over a year away but there may be other manufacturers working on them now.

If our ECU is programable, there are a lot of people here that would like to know how.

There's a 270 post thread on people waiting for the K-Pro so we can tune our cars: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...hlight=hondata

All ECUs are programmable by the manufacture with the proper equipment, but not by the end-uses. Tell your cousin to put down the pipe.

Unless you want to spend 10's of thousands of dollars getting it custom programmed, maybe. But you cant just take it to any "repair shop or Acura" to get it done...
