Easiest Color to Keep Clean.
the best color
This is my first post,
ok sorry about that, but i read all you guy's response, cause i have a carbon gray mazda, and i must say its really hard to keep clean. after i wash it, 2-4 days later you see so much dirt, but at night it looks sharp with all the street lights. darker cars look good at night but not during day time. but lighter cars look sharp not better, but sharper during day time. thats what i believe. but i think im gonna get a black tsx, just because of the grill and the silver accents.

In choosing silver I have looked at a lot of different colours before making my choice. Despite what my daughter calls a "Grandmother Colour", I have seen some really great looking cars that are silver. The BMW silver looks terrific. Doesn't WOW you, but it is anything but boring.
I think the new Alabaster Silver colour is close to the BMW silver. I kind of call it a "whiter" silver.
I won't knock any of the colours because they all have merits. I think that the Alabaster Silver will look great, and will look great for most of the time.

Excited

Yes white gets as dirty as any other car - it just doesn't show it until you get very close or run a hose on it. I know, my TSX is PWP. Sometimes I think my car doesn't really need a washing, then I run the hose on it and the dirt comes dripping off.
Bottom Line: from afar, white and silver cars always look clean even when they aren't perfectly clean. Tan and gold colors are too, but these aren't TSX colors (thank goddess).
And fading? I've yet to ever see a white car that has faded. The fact that they hardly get hot in the direct sun which reduces the possibilty of fading and paint damage is yet another advantage of white.
The disadvantages of white? There are two:
Tiny little black specks of pollution get imbedded into the surface of all paint. White cars unfortunately show them like a sore thumb when you look closely. I'm glad they invented clay for cars. That gets rid of them. I wish I had that for my other three white cars...
Also, I think it is kind of a "chick" color, so that pisses me off. Okay, I said it. I'm sure I'll get bashed. I love my PWP TSX though. I had a Meteor Silver Metallic on order, but couldn't wait and got the PWP. Everyone who sees it says I didn't make a mistake.
silver and white is easiest. if u dont wash white, it turns similar to championship white of itr. hehe..
but no matter what i would get nbp.
my abp is hard to keep clean too. cant go to automatic car wash 'cause it makes swirl marks...

maybe it depends on what car you have. i had a pearl white g35 coupe before the tsx.
the paint on it, on the bumpers anyway started getting darker colored the longer i had it. to the point that people would actually ask me stuff like "hey is your bumper a different color than the rest of your car".
i've seen it on other g35s, but it is much much more noticeable on the white ones.
dust also shows really well on white, so i wouldnt really recommend white as a "it will look cleaner while dirty" car. my last car, a TON of dust would stick to the rear bumper.
white and black look great though, i will give them that. white , especially a pearl at night is just stunning. i think even better than black. and my black tsx loaner made me for a moment regret getting silver. then it rained and my loaner looked horrible (water spots, dirt and such from puddles), so yeah its a tradeoff.
I have had a white truck and a silver car. Silver was the easiest to keep looking clean, but the white truck almost never appeared dirty until you really got up close. I washed it more because the tires looked dirty.
White and Black are the sickest colors. Put the aero kit and forget about it. The HID's with premium white pearl in dusk is amazing. Silver, Grey and White (in that order) are the easiest to keep clean but if you drive in some bad weather, ie mud shots or construction zones, white will be the dirtiest.
People, if you buy this car, you can't be concerned with how many times your washing it - just keep this baby clean; if I had time, I'd wash it everyday!
