Door Edge Trim Questions
I have two questions about the "Door Edge Trim" option that protects the edges of your door from dings.
1) When the doors are closed, can you see the trim from the outside of the car?
2) Is it worth getting?

I saw a TSX on the dealer lot that had a thin flat strip along the door edge and thought THAT was the door edge guard, so I added it to mine. Turns out it's like a half-inch (maybe narrower) moulding that wraps around the door edge. Yes it's color matched so it blends in, but yes it's definitely visible.
It'll protect your door when YOU open it, but does very little to protect it from other cars. Up to you. For me, I park it in my 2-car garage, next to my Expedition. Sometimes it's very tight in between both cars, so the door edge has saved me a few times already.
