Does your seat heater cycle?
My GF noticed this a few days ago, wondering if it's something to go to the dealer about.
When flipping the heater switch to high, the seat doesnt do much, then ~10 minutes later, it heats up almost instantly to very warm (not burning hot or anything, but noticeable). 5 minutes later, its back to cool-ish, and cycles up and down at seemingly random intervals.
Anyone else experience this or is this a problem? I'm going in friday to get my trunk chip fixed up, wondering if it's something I should make them fix that while Im there.

I think it cycles when it's on high, but will stay constant when you put it on low. Not 100% sure about that though, as I usually only use the high setting for a couple minutes to get it nice and toasty, then put it on low where it's comfy for longer periods.

The "high" setting will cycle as it can get too hot.
The owners manual suggests using "high" to first warm it up, then switch it to "low" to maintain the temp.

Let me help you!
Read the manual....
or here, I'll read it for you ;-)
Both front seats are equipped with seat heaters. The passenger seat only has heaters in the seat bottom because of the side airbag system. The ignition switch must be in the ON (II) position to use the heaters. Push the top of the switch, HI, to rapidly heat up the seat. After the seat reaches a comfortable temperature, select LO by pushing the bottom of the switch. This will keep the seat warm.
In HI, the heater turns off when the seat gets warm, and turns back on after the seat temperature drops.
In LO, the heater runs continuously. It does not cycle with temperature changes.
Follow these precautions whenever you use the seat heaters:
- Use the HI setting only to heat the seats quickly, because it draws large amounts of current from the battery.
- If the engine is left idling for an extended period, do not use seat heaters even on the LO setting. It can weaken the battery, causing hard starting.

Oh, I forgot, it's just easier to take it to the dealer under an avoidable warranty claim and jack up the cost of the vehicle for everyone else.
