does a wreck affect the warranty

Last weekend someone pulled out in front of me from a gas station turning left and i t-boned her. needless to say my 3 month old black tsx got beat up pretty good in the front.

does anyone know if acura's warranty is affected after a wreck? just wonder if they still cover everything without a hassle, especially parts that have been replaced or repaired.

Thx.

My guess is that as long as the replacement parts are genuine Acura parts, they are fine and should be covered. As for repaired parts, good question... I guess as long as the work's done by a shop recommended by your dealer, it's cool?

I figure if either a reputable shop, or even the Acura Body repair shop does the work, then you should be ok. Either way, as long as they use Acura parts. There's no reason why Acura should warrant aftermarket parts that aren't theirs.
This sounds like it's the other driver's fault. So their insurance company shuold be paying. If that's the case just take it to the Acura bodyshop.

when i crashed my car i read the honda warranty book like 10 times. not sure if its the same for acura. in the warranty book it states that as long your car does not have a salvage title or its been total your warranty is still valid.

My car was in an accident a year ago where the hood, fender, bumper, windshield, dash, etc. had to be replaced. I brought it to Acura when there was a creaking noise coming from the dash/windshield area. They refused to dig into it for free because it was in an accident. If the above post is true though I'm gonna do some reading and calling.

I was at the Acura dealership on thursday got my A-Pillar TSB fixed for my 04 TSX. I heard my service advisor talking to some guy on the phone with some customer about how the customers car being in an accident and they wouldn't cover a crack I believe in the customers headlight? If thats true I would be really careful about telling them that your car has been in an accident.

Your insurance should provide a lifetime warranty for the repair work and parts. I know Liberty Mutual and GEICO do anyway.

That's what Acura told me to do as I also have a lifetime warranty on problems arising from the accident. I didn't have to tell them that it was in an accident as they already knew that all of the parts had been replaced by looking at them.
