Does the tsx warn of black-ice?

I was wondering if the TSX's exterior temp. display warns you when the temp gets really cold? With my Volvo/Vw/Mazda they all have some type of light that comes on when the temp goes below 39*(when ice can start forming on the road.)

I looked in the manual, but it doesn't say it does/doesn't. I might have to take the tsx to work tomorrow, to check for myself.

The TSX has an outside temp reading (not completely accurate though). You should see it right there on your dash.

But there is no "light" that comes on when it gets to freezing temp. To be honest this seems kinda useless and might be annoying in the winter.

No kidding. Especially if you're in FL. My volvo has a very bright orange light that comes on when it drops under 39 or 36. Never saw it until last November and it scared the hell out of me.

Definitely should blink FUCKING COLD.

Definitely.

And instead of a clock, those with navi should have the time printed out as

The short hand is at 4, the long hand is at 12.

Isn't it enough to just acknowledge that the temperature is low enough? I mean, if you know black ice can be present at 39°F, then why do you need an additional warning? Isn't the numerical display enough information? Just because the "black ice" warning light glows doesn't mean that black ice will always be present either.

I know. I was just wondering if the tsx had the light or not.

I hear the new TL is equipped with heated tires that melt any ice they come in contact with, making this feature irrelevant.

The Canadian version has an ice-warning indicator next to the temp display, which displays in degrees Celsius of course. When it gets below freezing, the indicator comes on. Unsophisticated users sometimes refer to this indicator as a minus sign.
