Does every buyer get an Acura survey?
Does every buyer get a survey from Acura after purchase regarding the buying experience and initial quality of the car?
I have been waiting for my survey to tell them of some apparent defects (e.g. the driver seat squeak), but I have not yet received it. (Bought 2/27/06).
Does everyone receive a survey or just randomly selected buyers?

It's not sent immediately after your purchase. They wait a few months to give you some time to find things. I'm not sure if they send it to everyone....I don't think they do.

AFAIK, every purchaser gets a survey. At the time that I took receipt of my car, the salesman told me to expect to receive a survey in the mail (or was it by phone? ...I can't remember.). Sure enough, I was surveyed within a few weeks.

They already tried to call me, and it was before my 2 week anniversary. The dealer also tried to contact me as well...guess they know I'm picky and might find some faults eventually lol

They are not that thorough. Got a phone call about a week after my purchase, told them there was still one outstanding piece of business (got them to throw in mud-guards but while waiting for them to come in, decided I wanted the trunk tray instead) and wanted to respond later. Said they'd mail a survey, and never did. Good thing, because the dealer jacked me around on the substition (during the sale he spent a good ten minutes emphasizing the importance of a perfect survey score to him and the dealership) and I would have loved to have creamed them on the only little point of 'customer service' I had requested. Must add though, that after emphatically denying the sub for a week or two, he relented on a dime one day and called to say he could do it. Was still left with a bad taste in my mouth. The hypocrisy!

Yes, you are supposed to get a phone survey from Acura within 4 weeks of purchase. However, if your salesperson or dealership has kinked your number you will not get a survey. Reasons for getting kinked include them thinking you'll give a bad survey or will report their vehicle was not free from defects at the time of delivery. When I told a customer I couldn't 'throw in' $500 worth of accessories he said to me: "Wait until I get my survey from Acura!"

I just got another repeat mailer survey for Maritz Research. "2006 Customer Satisfaction Survey". It's preprinted label says Acura TSX.
Here's the return address.

Anyone get one of these surveys?

i got a couple surveys, 1 from JD power and another from Maritz (actually a third one, just don't remember from who).
i didn't mail them just because i didn't have the time to fill the long survey.. after a few weeks of not sending them in, they all sent a second survey, this time they all had a brand new 1 dollar bill included with the survey.. lol.

The dealer left a few voicemail messages on my cell phone (which isn't working at the moment). They then sent me a survey form in the mail, but it's addressed to the dealership *shrugs*

The buying experience was great, but I wanted to let them know about the problems that developed soon after delivery (e.g. squeaking seat) on the survey. Looks like I may need to write a letter to Acura directly instead.

The dealership will typically call customers of their own will. I'm not saying the dealership made sure Acura didn't contact you but I do know that 'unfavorable' surveys can hurt a dealerships chances at attaining certain levels with Acura.
