Does the Euro Honda Accord have the same handling as the Acura TSX?

I'd be jealous if it did, that a family sedan in another country is comparable to an entry lux sports sedan in the US. Lately i've been driving my 04 Accord LX 4cyl pretending that it's a TSX lol

my guess would be no... i think the TSX has a pretty stiff ride to be called a "family sedan" ..for a sports sedan its just fine.

In euro accords and other accords, i believe there are even some features that aren't included like they are in the American USDM TSX. Example, I believe malaysia Euro Accords (TSX) didn't come with sunroof as standard. I saw some pics of tsx without sunroofs b4.

no it doesn't. the TSX gains a better performing engine, a sportier transmition(at least the manual) and a more stiff(sporty) suspension alongside all the bells and whistles inside.

Meh, our Euro Accord is more expensive than your TSX! Plus, our 05 got the JDM EuroR silver rims.

Malaysia doesn't get Euro Accords. They get the USDM accord sedan in 2.0L and 2.4L. The one you saw in Malaysia were true k20a 220hp EuroR's. They are all parallel imported. Don't you wish you had one?

From the early reviews of the TSX, I remember reading that the TSX was set up 10% stiffer than the Euro Accord Type-S.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that out on real roads, the European Accord Type-S actually handles better and/or more predictably than our TSX.

The springs in my TSX feel like they have just a tad too much influence. Dropping the spring rate by 10% OR increasing the shock valving by 10% would make it just about perfect.

If were talking about the Euro-R, that's a completely different story.

It has better handling over the TSX due to it's more rigid chassis (no sunroof), LSD, and ability to rev higher in the turns.

I don't think so...our ride height is higher than the Euro-R, but the Type-S is essentially the same as the TSX except for the spring and damper rates...

i think stock for stock handling would be very similar. Especially comparing the 100kg + lighter standard accord euro (approx. 1360kg).

the tsx final drive and extra 10+ hp + stiffer springs are more likely making up for the weight difference if anything.

Due to the US bumper height requirement, our cars are generally taller:

US (TSX)
Minimum Ground Clearance 157.5 mm

Australia (Accord Euro)
Ground clearance - laden 120 mm

Doesn't the Honda factory in Thailand manufacture the US-style Accord for the Asian and Pacific markets?

I haven't heard if any factories outside of Japan manufacture the Accord Euro or TSX. I 2003-4, I thought that they were single-sourced from a specific Japanese factory.

The Accord Euro has another thing that our TSX does not have: auto-sensing windscreen wipers!

Hello!
I live in Italy, and I know very well the Honda Accord. The european Accord it's at the 95% identical to the TSX. It's the same car, BUT with:
150 hp 2.0 engine, or 2.4 190 h.p, not 205 as the TSX.
The european Accord cost 30-35.000 €, it means 37-45.000$.
But the standard features are not the same as the TSX. The TSX inside has a better console, the Accord looks a little more cheaper.
You can take a look at the accord: http://www.honda.it/index_configurateur.php.
You have to consider that NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THE ACURA BRAND IN EUROPE.
In my town I'm the only possessor of an Acura TL 2005. In Italy we have at least 5 TL in all the country.
The Acura RL will be sold only from this september for 75.000$ (!!) as HONDA LEGEND.

Our Australian Accord Euros are exactly the same as yours, but with a white tacho and speedometers! We get the 190hp 2.4L engine as well!

Is that difference in horsepower simply a measurement difference (SAE/DIN test standards, etc?), or do the US-bound engines really produce more power?

I hope not.

My sister has a 2005 v6 accord and that thing handles like shiit. So much body roll and the tires screetch with little effort.

US models from 04-05 have more power. I suspect that the European and Australian models got the 190hp engine from the old 2004 4WD Accord Wagon (no longer available in Japan).
