Diy comptech icebox intake

i tried to find the directions for this but the video has been removed from youtube...anyone have some directions for this? I cant remove the resonator to cut it off since i heard there is a bolt that is hard to reach to remove the resonator..anyone have pics of this?

you need to take off the fog light cover to get to the bolts

damn does that mean i have to take off the whole bumper again..i did it when i installed the hids for the fogs i didnt notice if you can just pop off the cover

there are tons of DIY threads on how to install intakes; the best method is to take off the bumper and/or peel back the driver's side wheel well and use a mini ratchet with a 10mm socket. save yourself the pain. its *easy* to do. besides, you'll need space to take out the resonator anyway. you can't pull it out of the foglight cover - its not like it'll expand as if yer' delivering a baby ya' know...

haha yea i know..but i was just asking where that bolt is because i dont where to be looking or what to take off to find that last bolt

Just take off the bumper. It takes longer but makes everything so much easier

no need to take off the bumper. Just remove the front driver side wheel and that should give you plenty of room to work with. Remember to peel of the inner lining so you can take the resonator out. There should be a few screws and clips to be removed.

yea i tried to hack the resonator off while it still was connected since i couldnt pull the whole tube piece out..that didnt work too well..haha

I dont know about TSX, but it was reaaaally easy to take it off 00 Civic. Took me about 3 mins to do that
