This is little more than a poor attempt by some disgruntled person to smear the Acura brand. This has been posted more than once here on Acurazine and we have not ever been able to verify it. It is unsubstantiated so I have written to Yahoo!Auto's customer care group to have it removed.

That is defamation of libel on a company and can be held up in court, since that review is anonymous, Yahoo can be held responsible for posting the review. I reported the abuse to them asking to take the review off otherwise files will be charged.
Sorry, but some of my family works for Honda and Acura, and I am fiercely loyal to the brand. I hope to work for them one day, and yes I have a minor in Business Law so I do know what i'm talking about.

It's just some Acura hater. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same post other places.

make sure you use a voltmeter when measuring the amount.
Seriously though. There is too much liability with regards to a vehicles braking system. For Acura to write off a customers complaints regarding the braking system would be perposterous.
When the Titans first released we had a boat load of complaints with brakes, vibrations being the most. We had to honor every single one of them under warranty. No matter what. There was a recall that followed once the complaints became so frequent.
I have and I think I'm goin to call

not libel,
there's actually been supreme court cases saying that there is no way a company can be held accountable for what is posted on it's site in the case of libel. i think it was a california case and it was recent.

Ah, the file charger.
I learned quickly in law school that you must be very cautious when charging files. The horror stories I heard about young lawyers who have been burned, or even electrocuted.
But I digress...no reasonable person would take that review seriously. Theres no exposure to a meritorious lawsuit here, just some sicko begging for the very attention we're giving him right now.
In any event, I'd expect that it will be removed.

And this story sounds like a case for snopes, but its folk lore that has been flying around for a minimum of 6 months.
