Did this when I was bored last night.

1. Jack the car up, take front wheels off. Clean the caliper

2. cover all the place where I don't want paint to get into. Esp. the valve, place near master cylinder...etc etc...

3. Spray the paint!!! woot!!!

4. Finish!!! took me I think 2 to 3 hours. Will go on to do the rear soon! :biglaugh:

I don't know why but I never liked painted stock calipers. It looks like I can't afford Brembos or something like that. Just my oppinion though.

You can buy caliper paint at most automotive stores like pep boys or autozone.

i agree with maxboost, altho i admit it looks nice, i wouldnt do it..i think car enthusiasts will easily pick it out that you dont have brembos..or spoon brakes (if u painted them sky blue), but yea..other than that, it should get a lot of stares, but its your car so do w/e u want!

Thank you.

I will get a pic of the paint that I use if you want... I can barely remember the name... :P

I somehow disagree Maxboost and tigerfan. I paint the caliper not to make people think that I have expensive brake system like brembo. It is just like putting a sticker on the car to make it look different. According to your theory, that we should not modified the car if we don't get mugen or spoon parts b/c other people will think that you are too cheap to be able to afford those brand? How about not buying the TSX in the 1st place so that people won't think you are not able to afford a NSX so get a TSX as a replacement?

yeah, let's not assume that he did it to make it look like aftermarket brakes. a lot of people paint their calipers. whatever makes them happy.

with that said, i think you did a half ass job. i guess with the wheels on, you'd just see red calipers, but up close, it'll prolly look hideous. personally, though i would never paint my calipers, i would've taken the calipers off, instead of taping around it.

just um.. don't ever try to cross drill the discs, eh?
