Dealer Inconsistancy
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out here... I have gotten so many conflicting service schedules from different dealers in my area... and in the end, I don't trust any of them. What I end up doing is bringing my manual to the local mechanic and saying "Do all this" and they do it.
I called up 4 different dealers, asked for a 30K service, each of them does a different set of things and they gave me different prices for everything and each one of them said it was in the manual. I offered to fax over the page I was looking at and they declined saying it was in the manual.
I would like to be able to trust the dealers but I haven't found one in my area that hasn't done anything to make me skeptical. One of them even tried to tell me I needed my entire suspension system replaced for a simple shimme I was feeling.
Is anyone else having this issue dealing with the dealers... I can't get a straight answer out of anyone. Acura Client Services says that they can't do anything because they don't control the dealers but they would send a copy of the 2005 Acura TSX service schedule to the service manager so they know what needs to be done.
I'm so confused what actually needs to be done and I'm worried about the safety of my vechicle because apparently no one knows what needs to be done.
I have run into this same problem at 10K, 20K and now again at 30K.
Can someone please help me out here...

I've personally never encountered this problem with my dealer. Have you gone to EVERY dealer in the area? Some dealers aren't very friendly o_O, which is why I shopped around different dealers. Even travelling a decent distance is well worth it for a great service job.

I have been to the 4 dealers within about 1 hours driving of my work and home
Open Road Acura of Wayne
Ramsey acura (tried to scam me)
Park Ave Acura
Springfield Acura
I will be going to DCH next but I haven't had much luck with them over the phone thus far...
