Dallas: year-end clearance on '06 TSX's

Just got this email from Goodson Acura located in Irving Texas... Of course I just paid more for my TSX a week ago at another dealer !!!!

Anyway, just thought I'd post this for anyone in the area. I should add that the dealer has a $399 VIN etching fee that'll be tacked on to these prices, but still, $26500 is by far the best deal I've seen in this area...

2006 Acura TSX $26,500
2006 Acura TSX with Navigation $28,500
2006 Acura TL $30,500
2006 Acura TL with Navigation $32,800
2006 Acura MDX Premium $34,000
2006 Acura MDX Touring $35,750
2006 Acura MDX Touring with Navigation $38,900
2006 Acura MDX Touring with Nav and DVD $44,050

I wonder what other hidden fees (meaning profit) they will add in the end?

I agree on the hidden fees and whatever else they throw in on you.

They tried to add a V.P.S. Security charge of $599 when I was quote gathering a few months ago. Told them I wanted a breakdown of everything. Turned out it's some extra etching garbage that is part of a "vehicle recovery guarantee". If it is not recovered in a certain time frame it pays a small amount. A crock of b.s.

5100 dollars for a dvd player in a mdx seems a bit steep.

good point, there is no telling if that was the price WITH destination included... and as for fees, yep, they can be sneaky.

Anyway, I recieved those prices in an email and posted this for those of you that might be in the area.... worth looking into. PM me if u want contact info, I'll forward it to you.

PS - For those of you that dont think those are good pices, the dealers down here have been sticking to retail for quite a while!

The TL for 30,500 is the best deal.

That DOES include destination. They confirmed it with me by email.

They have not budged much. I think because they had not gotten shipments in and they had low inventories/high demand.

$30,500 for a 06 TL and I'd be changing cars. I love the 06 TSX, but wow. Most of the used 04 and 05 TL's with 20-40k miles are selling for more than that now; at least in my area.

Are those the prices for cars on the lot, or on new orders? At current US/CDN exchange rates, the TSX is disounted over $4,000! (and then there's the 15% tax saving, too).

This pisses me off... I accidently replied to McD Honda instead of Acura to ask about price matching. Their emails about interest rates were identical except for the logo. I didn't realize it was a different email. The Honda guy replied and gave me a price on a V6 EX Accord . I then get a call the next day from Acura saying he was told I replied to the wrong place and was following up. He told me 26K!! Arghhhhh 16 hours too late! Oh well, they would have screwed me more on the trade I'm sure. It all has to balance somehow for them. I'm happy with the deal I got. I really liked the sales guy and dealership. Pretty low pressure.
