crooked steering wheel?

When I’m driving on a straight road, going straight, my steering wheel is turned slightly to the right. (the Acura symbol is turned to the right) This really bothers me what do you guys think causes this and can it be fixed?

Just take it back to the dealer....they should be able to adjust the steering wheel. It is just a simple adjustment i believe. But if you have to constantly turn the wheel to go straight then your alignment is off.

Easy fix if your so inclined...
I used to be a honda tech and did alignments all the time.

You need to adjust your steering tie rod ends....this will place the wheels in the same direction the steering wheel is pointed.
I wont go into details unless you want me to because like some one said earlier, take it in and have it aligned under warranty.

Check the air pressure in your front tires. Whenever the pressure was off in one of the front tires on my Integra it usually threw off the steering wheel a little.

I had this problem too. I never even made it home from the dealership - turned around and made them recenter the steering wheel (took 10 min). So long as your car tracks straight with no hands, its a simple fix.

I have the same problem. The wheel is tilted to the left. This is poor quality control. Taking it back to the dealer to fix. Glad I am not the only one.

two things here... is your car going straight on a straight and flat road? if yes then your stering wheel needs to be adjusted... if no then you need an alignment.

Actually, the steering wheel needs aligning by adjusting the tie rods.

right... if you take off your steering wheel and put it on upside down... no amount of tie rod adjustment will fix this... so the steering wheel can be off by a cog or 2.

go get your alignment fixed under warranty.

i have bought 3 new acura's and every single one has been to the dealer more than once in the first 3 months for a fucked up alignment.

its very irritating. but completely fixable.

my point is that if your car is truly alligned and your steering wheel is still not centered... the problem lies in your steering wheel and not in the tie rods. get it.

so you have to shift the steering wheel over a cog or 2... comprende? i've seen cars that look like they are taking lefts all the time but it was just how they remounted the steering wheel after they took it off for some reason or another.

no problem here.
