Coolness Factor

Hey guys here this is an updated version of my favorite thread I started on the otherside.

The most surprising thing about the TSX is just how cool this car is. Acura has always made some great cars, but people really don’t’ think cool when the think of Acura. What makes the TSX so cool???

30. Is it that ambient blue light over the center console?
29. How about those super neat mirrors with glass turn signals?
28. Touch screen Navi?
27. Voice recognition? “What time is it” “Current location” “Play CD disc 4”
26. 17” alloy wheels w/ low profile tires?
25. Every color and combination is just drop dead gorgeous?
24. Dual climate control? How many marriages will that save?
23. Heated seats, home-link, dimming mirror?
22. Telescoping, tilt steering wheel with audio controls?
21. Speed sensing wipers?
20. Dual power outlets?
19. All windows down with a remote?
18. Little amber round front signal lights?
17. Euro style oval fog lights?
16. Chrome trimmed door handles?
15. The thud you here when the door closes?
14. Trunk handle hidden under lip?
13. Pen holder, card holder, and hole for cell-phone wire in console?
12. Smooooth clutch?
11. Acura Door plates?
10. .85g skidpad?
9. Beautiful dual exhaust? What about those reflectors right above them?
8. 8 air bars, TCS, VSA?
7. Drive by wire?
6. Bottom hinged gas pedal
5. HID xenon projector lights?
4. The gauges? Nothing more needs to be said!!!!
3. FWD with road feel?
2. 7.2, 0-60?
1. Butta?

I don't think the reflectors are anything but reflectors, but I don't have my TSX yet. I am just a long term admirer. Good additions, lets try for 50 guys!!!

Holy Crap! There are eight airbags. I just thought the front side and side curtain were the same thing. I feel like it's christmas and I just got two more airbags for my car!

33. Neatest size (183.3", 69.4")

That is, if you happen to like this particular size -- as I do. There aren't many cars of about this length -- and of those, most are a couple of inches wider, which to me makes significant compromises in the sportiness and tight feel. (Also I'd have a lot more trouble getting them into my little garage! I know this all too well; I struggled with a TL-S for a year.)

Considering width as well as length, I think the only other cars in this size range are the Passat, the Saab 9-3, and the Infiniti G35 sedan. That's not very many.

34. The radio
35. Standard sunroof
36. Steering wheel controls (ones better than those cheesey add on looking ones on regular Hondas)
37. One often overlooked that is usually only found on german or Swiss autos... Nice smooth handles ABOVE the doors.. including the drivers side
38....

It has the same track as my Vigor. The first generation TL had way too long a wheel base to be sporty. These is the first Acura since the Vigor that fits in that niche. You are dead on a usual Larch!!

Are the side curtain airbags one or two bags on each side? The picture in the brochure makes it look like one bag that covers from front to back, but two bags per side would be better.

42. A/C has little effect on fuel efficiency, because the unit is unusually small/efficient.

Check out the picture from Acura's site. It looks like their are eight bags (2 side bags in front). Surprised me.

Um--all Accords since 98 has these. Well on EX anyway.

woops--I said the no-no..... People might start to think the TSX is a rebadged combination of the exeutive + type-S Euro Accord.

ya-ya--the above has spelling and grammer issues. So the does the one posting.....

Tons of Spoon, Modulo, and Mugen parts are bound to jump to the shore for the OE type modifing to begin.

48. Vehicle Stability Assist
49. Sportmatic/Tiptronic/Manumatic (If smooth shifting is a coolness factor for manual drivers, this feature is cool for auto)

52. One touch open compartments

I will get a revised list posted later. Larch, do you think I should go back to a count up 1 to 50 or stay with the count down 50 to 1?Either way your "50" will be the last on the list.

I believe the "trunk release" is what is being referred to in #14?

But I guess #53 could be shortened to the uniqueness of just one keyhole on the entire car!
