Autocarparts is definitely a fast and easy shopping experience..definitely reccomend using them. I'll let you all know when I get them. The drop is going to be subtle which is exactly what I want. I'll get some before and after pictures. I'm guessing it won't be all that noticeable, but the comptech name and keeping the suspension in spec(camber) was something I wanted.

Tink, who's installing them for you? Or are you doing it yourself?
I thought you were waiting on more offerings, why the sudden decision?

No time like the present. Plus since I can't seem to find my rotas in stock anywhere i will probably just buy new tires for the stock wheels. Diddn't want to add anymore wheel gap or change out the rest of the suspension initially so this should be good.Originally posted by domn

I'm not sure who i'll have install them. Anyone have any reccomendations for shops in san diego? I suppose I could have acura do it, but somehow that seems a bad idea to me.

Tinky, hurry up and get em installed, I want to see lots of pics.
I was really leaning towards coliovers so I can jack the car back up for the winter months but a 1" drop probly won't be too much of a problem in snow? what do you guys think?
An Acura dealer here in T.O is selling the Comptechs for $345 CAD taxes in. They're also charging $81 an hour for labour and they say its a 4 hour job. And they reccomend an alignment.
With the current US/Can exchange rates I can order the springs from autocarparts.com for $246.54 CAD or $280.20 CAD with shipping. But the border fees will probly end up bringing the cost to more than the $345 CAD.

coilovers would be sweet... but i'm trying to be financially responsible which is a big conflict of interests with moddings
The one inch comptech drop should be really minimal. Enough to clear most of the wheel gap but that's about it. I wanted to leave ride close to stock which I'm hoping it will.

Interestingly, autocarparts specifically says that comptech springs are stiffer than stock, but does not say that about eibach. Some people on this site have reported that eibach actually improved ride quality. Let us know.Originally posted by TinkySD

is this still the cheapest place to buy the comptech springs online?
just outta curiosity; where is the cheapest you guys have found the comptech (spc) rear camber kit?

My experience with www.autocarparts.com wasn't so great. I recently ordered Eibach's Pro-Kit, Comptech rear sway bar, Comptech titanium strut tower brace & an Injen CAI (black) from them. They were all ordered @ the same time & according to the shipping/tracking information, everything was good to go. On the scheduled delivery day, I received the Pro-Kit...& that's it. I called them & was told that in order to get my problem looked at, I'd need to send them an e-mail. About an hour later I received a reply from them & was told that the Comptech parts would be shipping out the next morning & that Injen was supossed to be shipping the intake to me direct to save time (they were out of stock & along with all of the other shipping "delays," I guess they figured it was not important to inform me of the issue). I then received another e-mail from them informing me that the intake was shipping out in the morning as well. WTF? Great prices...horrible customer service. I also ordered the Ingalls camber correction kit from www.ultrarev.com & was extremely happy with their service & prices. Originally Posted by 97AcuraCL

Could have just been a one time thing with autocarparts.com, but I was a bit put off by their lack of customer service.Instructor

I'd recommend the Ingalls kit over the SPC/Comptech ones. It's nicer in quality & adjusts camber & toe. Check out www.ultrarev.com if you're interested...they sell it for half the MSRP. Originally Posted by 97AcuraCL

I about to get either Eibach Pro-Kit or Comtech Springs....but I don't which I should get...
And if I install Eibach that's going to void my warranty right? but...seems like Eibach is the way to go....since you guys are saying Comtech Springs has sitff ride feel....help!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~

I ordered my comptech springs through autocarparts.com and they sent me an email saying they are on backorder for 2 weeks. I wasn't going to install them anytime soon anyway so I kept my order through them. I got the comptech's because they lower the least. Got them for $208 shipped by the way, the cheapest place I could find on the net. Don't worry about the warranty, Honda/Acura has to prove it was the springs themselves that caused the malfunction. My salesman even asked me if I was going to do some mods to the car. And told me about Comptech and said a whole bunch of aftermarket products are out there for the TSX.

Oh Sweet!! I'm definitely going for Eibach Pro-Kit...more drop, better ride quality.
Thanks funkbucket007 & Brooks!

I didn't like the neuspeed on my CL much... personal taste it was too bouncy. Only reason I wanted to go SPC is beacuse isn't it the same as Comptech? And like i said my main concern was acura and thier warranty bullshit. palm beach acura swears up and down that there will be no problem with comptech parts.
