TinkySD - you thinking of making the move on these? I think the handling is pretty close to how I like it ... but headers on the other hand ... mmmmmmmmmm

handling should be very close to stock on the comptechs. i rode in my friends stock CL-S for about a year. then he upgraded to comptech springs. IMO there was not much difference. mild drop but still looked good nonetheless.
i too am waiting for the headers!!

i called one of the listed distributors on the comptech site and he said since the drop is only 1" you won't need a camber kit. but he did say to get it aligned after the drop as the front tires tend to angle slightly outward.
the price he gave just for the springs was $189 inc. tax. For installation he said it would take 3 hrs, at $65 p/hr it would be $195. Then either get it aligned there for $100 or somewhere else. so pretty much $400 for the springs and installation. anyone else get any numbers?

You can 'borrow' a spring compressor from places like AutoZone for free. You give them a $20 for depost, you get it back when you return them. Or you could spend the $20 and just buy a set.

my mechanic and I spent about 1hr for the whole install(not including alignment). and we were not in a hurry at all. the only possible reason that someone needs 3hrs is if he tries to take apart every piece of the trunk lining and carpet just to find out that you dont access the shock tower from the trunk. you access the shock tower by remove the rear seat side and base. Also, the rear deck lid, if you cant find the right wrench. MAX i will pay is 1.5hr for the spring install. for 3hrs labour, you should expect BOTH alignment and spring install, and a GOOD QUALITY job.

Comptech had told us originally it was 1.25, So I double checked and 1" all around is correct, adjusted on our site.

OK... to answer your questions.
Comptech Springs will lower your car 1" without sacrificing ride quality and without having a noticeable effect on Camber and Alignment.
If you buy Comptech Springs... ALL you need is the Springs. You don't need any further parts for adjustments.
Labor: A qualified mechanic should need no more than 2 hours for a spring install. Installation should range from $80-120.
Self installation is fairly easy to do as well if you have time and tools.
Comptech Springs will NOT effect your warranty.
So you are safe

Looking at Aric's post above. Do any interior pieces like the seats have to removed in order to install these springs? Or was his explanation only for installing Shock Towers?
Or is it just the tires that have to come off for the springs?

for 1", it's about 25mm drop to lower centre of gravity is good... and may even improve cd# on the highway driving...

how did i find out? i rip apart all the trunk liners just to find out i cant see the springs. good thing is i found how much sounddeadening Acura did to the car even in the trunk area. Removing the seat is a lot easier and less things to break.
