Compass on non-navi?

Anyone have a solution to this? I really want some sort of compass in my car.

I went and got one some cheapie deal at AutoZone, but the car is creating some sort of magnetic field and it never reads correctly.

This leads me to believe it's just not possible at all. Is this true?

yes... don't put your cell phone close to the desk either.

I have given up putting a compass on my car. Same problem. I love my eye-ball suction compass... It has been with me ever since I own my first car... ;( I have to let it go...

What you really need is a cheap-ass GPS like my Garmin i3.

$250 in costco.com

$200 for the i2 if you don't care color screen.
