Code name? You mean like if you want to talk about the TSX but you don't want people to know that you're talking about the TSX?

I've also confirmed "torqueless-rattlebox" as one of the other code names heard within the halls of Honda.

There's also a secret knock, but that's not discussed in the open forum.

thanks for replies, the reason i asked is if you look at other forums like m3forum or mbworld, they call these cars by the code names. ex/ current 3 series are called E46, previous was E36, & etc...
but i guess that's not the case with TSX since it is the only TSX so far. if they bring new TSX to market we'll all be confused to identify between new and old TSX.

yeah but since it's the jdm accord, you can also trace back to the CF_ (98-2002), CD_ (94-97), etc

If that's what you refer to as 'codename', then every car has one.... E36, E46, E90, these are all just names for the specific model, which is a standard part of the US VIN number system (4th-6th digits) as we all know.

They are all chassis codes. They're actually part of your VIN.

The only "codes" I can think of are the acronyms people use for the colors.

SSM = Satin Silver Metallic (US & Canada)
PWP = Premium White Pearl (US & Canada)
CGP = Carbon Gray Pearl (US Only)
NBP = Nighthawk Black Pearl (US & Canada)
IBP = Indigo Blue Pearl (Canada Only)
ABP = Arctic Blue Pearl (US Only)
MSM = Meteor Silver Metallic (US Only)
MR = Milano Red (US & Canada)

He's right, it's a chassis code. My Honda CRX is an EF. Typically in Japan, they don't say "oh, I have a 1989 CRX, or a 1992 Civic. They'll say I have an EF or an EG.
