Question club

I suddenly have the urge to put on the club in my car.
Should I do it now or is it just all in my head?

They stole my co-worker's beat up corolla in the parking lot 6 months ago and stole the radio.

You car, your choice, so why not. A little prevention can't hurt

Its in your head.

Step 1: Take your valet key out of the car (I think the #1 reason the car is stolen)
Step 2: Don't waste your money on "gimmick" security devices. If you want security, pay for a more rigiorous system. Ours is pretty good though.
Step 3: Realize your radio is of little use without the security code to anyone else

If someone wants your car, they'll get it. So just enjoy having it.

I use the club. I know its fairly easy to defeat but I'm using it to discourage the casual thief. If they see the club and move on to another car because of it then its done its job.

The Club will discourage the low-end thief, but the real professional can defeat it easily. In fact, if those guys want your car, there's not much you can do...

But seriously. My friend once was in a dark lot picking up grocerys in this Spec-V Sentra, and when he came out and went to his car, he was approached by two men who then grabbed his keys and beat the crap out of him. He got his car back a week later with a stole front bumper, headlights, headunit, stereo system, seats and no gas

I always keep a 3 foot steel pole in my car. I call it my v-tec pole

i think the auto taser should be brought back into production for the US. I keep trying to get one on ebay, but they just cost too damn much. For those who dont know, its basically a club that electrifies itself with 10,000 volts if it senses vibrations in the car.

All crooks including newbs > the club. The club itself can be easily defeated, not to mention that your steering wheel will get owned by a hacksaw (unless I missed some improvements that include the TSX having a steering wheel that can't be cut)

Here in Chicago, when the club came out, the cars with it were targets. The crooks would defeat the system, and just to bust balls, they would leave the club in the parking spot where your car used to be and have a laugh at your expense. Now if you want to put the club in your car for use as a weapon, now that is good thinking, cause I sure wouldn't want to get hit with one.

Don't even worry about trying to protect your factory radio. Somewhere during the breaking and entering process, the crook is going to figure out that he/she has no use for your climate control unit, and that it won't come off the radio. Besides no one wants a stock radio without CD text capabiity anyway

This is exactly I am using the club for. It is a perfect two-hand weapon. Just pull it apart and hold one piece in one hand and the other piece in another hand.

I had no idea there was such a thing as the auto taser but im gonna get 1 for kicks n giggles at the office lol. Instead of the club for the steering wheel, I have one for the brake(The one they use to advertise on TV lol). As for a weapon I thought about using the club for the brake as a weapon but its too heavy to get in a good swing if I ever needed to. I purchased one of those auto batons the police use. It's more compact light weight and alot more intimidating(flick a button and the batton extends from 10 inches to 30 inches).

problem is, they can sue you for using it, thats one of the many reasons its not in use anymore...I love the idea of it though.

If they want to take your car, they will, if I am in it at the time, I hope they are bulletproof.

I used disklock in my GSR, but now I got full coverage on my TSX and I don't care as much. As a matter of fact I cared more for my GSR then TSX, probably because I had to work harder to get one... btw if anyone interested I can sell the disklock. I am too lazy to setup ebay auction for it.

Here is a pic:

The club is a waste of money. If they want it, they'll take it. Mainly though they just want the K24. Want some theft deterance? Get a damn gun! lol

I know it's funny looking and maybe that's why it's hard to purchase it here because there is no market for it, but those things are popular in Europe (UK)

it comes in silver and chrome (they only sold yellow in the US) it was somewhere $100 that I paid.

When I had my GSR it was parked in the somewhat unsafe area (Northgate & Hwy 99, for locals) every night for a year and no one ever even attempted to steal it. Although, I heard of cars being stollen in the area and some break ins. Hard to say if that steered theif away or my aftermakert alarm.

I don't see the use of this product. They can always use the hand brake. They have this because some old car can't shift to "Drive" without pressing down the brake. But nowaday, we don't need to press the brake to shift to "Drive" anymore.

I used one for manual that blocked clutch and brake pedals.
