note that your car would not meet DOT requirements if you cleared your lights and hence be illegal. the clears on the Euro-R do look sweet though.

Cleared headlights; What do you think?

Hi all, I need some advice. I did the headlight clearing last night.
The housing looks like the way this guy from New York has it in the first pic on this thread:

http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...ght=headlights

It is not an easy task (took my friend and I 4-5 hours), even though I've done it on a CL-S and a TL-S in the past. For the TSX, there is NO reflector inside the housing and the bulb at night shows up as a really bright dot (with a hyperwhite bulb) and almost basically glares at you. I live in LA where cops are known for picking on fixed up rides.

My question is, would it help at all to put an amber bulb inside?

Because we don't want to have to open that housing up again! You have to heat and open and then reseal and heat, plus the time it takes to remove the bumper and each housing. Your replies or ideas would be appreciated.

If you put an amber bulb in you should be street legal....at least that is legal in NYC. Should be too much glare on oncoming traffic either with the amber.

Post pics of your ride when you get a chance.

I had a 99 Civic EX and put some reflective silver tape over the orange reflector inside. It always passed inspection in VA. I think all you have to have is an amber bulb in there. The TSX looks to be different though since the amber reflector is right against the headlight assembly as where in the civic it was set back into the headlight.
