A while ago, Lung Fu Mo Shi posted a thread about the change drawer from the JDM/EDM Accord.

There was never a follow-up as to whether or not it would fit in the TSX. I'm here to re-open the investigation and see if anyone can find out more information or if anyone has successfully (or unsucessfully) tried it.

The two major questions are:

1) Does it fit!?
2) Does the color match and if not, how "off" is the color?

Anyone game to experiment - I'm chicken!

 

No the change drawer will not fit as there is a metal plate behind the area where the change drawer would go. With a little customization, you could make it work, but my guess is to achieve the affect, it wouldn't be worth it.

 

Why, may I ask, do you want to change the coin drawer? Doesn't the factory one work with US coins, plug nickels, dimes, and quarters?

 

I can't beleive the Canadian TSX change holders cant even hold our $1 and 2$ coins. Hopefully they will change this soon and it will be an easy swap.

 

if my car had anymore storage space, my closet would be jelous. y don't you try using the "this is not an ashtray" to store your extra change. thats what i do.

 

Cuz I am afraid it will fall out of there under a sharp turn or hard accel. Besides..It would look much neater in the appropraite change holder. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice ...and I think it was an oversight by Acura of Canada.
