Change colors for Side mirror turn indicators
I searched for anything on changing the colors for the sideview turn indicators but cant find anything on it. I think the yellow lights look kinda cheesy and was wondering if anybody changed the color for it and how they did it with some pics. I was thinking of just swapping it out to a white. Any input or opinions are welcome.

I think the lights on the mirror would look cooler if they were blue.

Devo is correct.
in general applications, i.e., screw-in HID bulbs (metal halide, mercury vapor, high pressure sodium, et all) , the warm up time is like 10-20 minutes before full brightness is achieved.
I assume the car HIDs are different though, and power up (brighten up) quicker somehow.

I agree. Although I haven't found the Dept. of Transportation Law yet, I'm pretty certain any direction indicating light must be by law colored amber/yellow just as any brake light must be colored red.

c tsx is right, i had blue side markers and white side markers and got pulled over by the same state trooper twice. This is in maryland so im not sure bout other spots but only amber for front facing turn signals

front facing turn signals: amber or white
rear facing turn signals: amber or red
front & side sidemarkers: amber
rear sidemarkers: red
any other color is illegal, just depends on the enforcement by your local authority.

And after that (rear turn signals, and/or turn signals on the mirror like those on Ford Expedition) can be red or amber.

The side mirror turn signal lights are LED's and you can not change them. I had one out and they are a sealed unit. If anyone knows something I missed then there is not much you can do with it but to change the whole lens unit for a different color
