Anybody know what the max mileage is for a car to still be considered Certified Pre Owned? I'm thinking of trading in my 01 jetta for a TSX and heard that unless it's still able to be considered Certified, the dealer won't give you max dollar for the trade in.

 

For Acura, it is 90k miles I believe. At least that's what I was told when I traded in my Integra that had 87k miles. For VW, it think it is 75k miles. I know this only because I went to look at some VWs with my girlfriend the other day and it listed the criteria for a Certified car. So, it all depends on the manufacturer.

 

to qualify as a certified pre-owned vehicle it needs to have under 80 thousand miles and be younger than a 1998.....

 

and acura cant sell a VW as certified preowned anyway

 

not to mention, certifed preowned is for cars whose warranties are gone. if youre car still has a warranty it will be sold with the remainder of the warranty, and have the money spent on it to make it certified.
