Center Module Unit help | air/heat not blowing

Hello,
I recently took my Acura TSX (2008) into the Acura dealer, after two days of trying and diagnosing why my car was not blowing air or heat they said I need a new :center module unit is 39054-SEC-L12ZB

They basically said it was an electrical problem with the climate control and that's why it's not blowing air/heat and they said the radio is involved as well.

The Acura dealer said they can order a new part listed above for $3,500 or get a used one with only a 12 month warranty for $675, then charge me labor to install one or the other.
My question to you all is we found the part: center module unit is 39054-SEC-L12ZB on EBay for $250.00 used.

Is this something easily installed on our own? Is this something risking to buy online from a sure such as eBay?

The car's dash is currently apart at dealer....... Wondering if I should but the "part" online and take my car back apart and install it ourselves.

I would suggest some due diligence to find an alternative shop, have car towed there, and get another opinion. You will owe a diagnostic fee to Acura.

If indeed the entire AC/Audio module is defective, then a used part will be a bargain compared to Acura parts.

good luck

I would think if you told the dealership that you changed your mind they would probably charge you the labor and put the car back together before giving it back.
